Welcome to Don Jose Gallego
Principal's Message
Dear Liger Community, Happy July! I hope this message finds you relaxed, refreshed, and soaking up every single bit of the summer sun. Our campus is incredibly quiet without the energy of our amazing students, but we are already working hard behind the scenes to make the upcoming 2026-2027 school year our best one yet. While we want everyone to keep enjoying the vacation vibes, July is the perfect midway point to check in on our two favorite summer goals: making memories and keeping minds active. 📚 Dive Into a Great Book To help our students hit the ground running this fall, we encourage everyone to keep up with their summer reading. Staying engaged with books now builds incredible confidence for the first day of school. Keep it fun: Audiobooks on road trips, graphic novels, or reading under a shady tree all count! The 20-Minute Challenge: Encouraging just 20 minutes of daily reading makes a massive difference in keeping skills sharp. Lead by example: Consider picking up a book yourself and creating a quiet, family reading time. 🚀 Gearing Up for the Fall We want you to maximize your summer, so don't stress about the details just yet. However, if you like to plan ahead, our school website has been updated with the preliminary 2026-2027 supply lists and uniform guidelines to give you a head start. Keep an eye on your inbox early next month for our official welcome-back packets. To our students: I hope you are having fun, staying safe, and relaxing. I can't wait to hear all about your summer adventures when the doors open in August. Keep being curious and keep reading! Enjoy the rest of July, stay cool, and we will see you all very soon! Best regards, Warmly, Mrs. A. Almanza Principal
